Woodlands Garden and downtown’s greenspaces need your help!

Woodlands Garden and downtown’s greenspaces need your help!

Please invest $20 and a little time to support our parks and trees while helping Woodlands Garden expand.

As you probably know, Decatur does not have enough parks, especially downtown.  What greenspaces we have are in danger of being developed – like the Oakhurst Dog Park and the tree-filled lot on Clairemont next to the Marriott Hotel.

Add your voice to Downtown Decatur Neighbors in calling for more parks.

Make a $20 donation to Woodlands Garden, and they will give you a big green ribbon.  We want as many people as possible to donate $20 and then tie all the ribbons around the dozens of beautiful, mature trees in the Clairemont lot.  We’ll invite the news media to take and publish pictures and highlight the need for more public greenspace.

And because Woodlands Garden is a nonprofit, $19 of your donation is tax deductible!  Simply go to https://app.etapestry.com/onlineforms/WoodlandsGarden/GreenRibbon.html to make your donation on-line, making sure to add “DDN – please hold for pickup” in the Comments box (to maximize impact, we want to pick up ALL the ribbons and put them on the trees all at one time).

Please make your donation by end of the day, Friday, September 18.

Thanks so much!
